FFX HD For PS3 & PS Vita: Remake or Remaster?

Picture this scene in HD!

While many people were hoping for a full remake of Final Fantasy X when Square announced a 10-year-anniversary edition of the classic PS2 title for the PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, it seems that what we’ll be getting instead is a simple HD remastering of the game.

FFX HD the game is being developed like a high-definition remaster, but the visuals will look much better compared to the original.

Now, before you get to feeling disapointed, remember: the reason you were excited about a new Final Fantasy X release to begin with is because you loved the original, right? If that’s the case, count your blessings and enjoy the classic game you loved with crisper visuals on a screen the size of which wasn’t available when the original Final Fantasy X was released in 2001.

Yes, a remake using Final Fantasy 13′s engine would have been cool, but I’ll settle for scenes like the one above in full HD.

And don’t forget big screen blitzball!

It’s about time Enix does something right for once. 13 & 13-2 down to 11 are a joke. FFX & Yuna are the best on all aspects. I can’t wait to see these games and I hope what I’m reading is true that FFX HD will come with FFX-2 HD both with the International Versions.

this is awesome because scenes like the pond scene were totally epic to begin with. if it looked any better, ps3 may not be able to keep up with its elders!
